Leading the vetting efforts for Operating Companies supported by CRAYON PARTNERS, Mathias is a seasoned venture capitalist with over 13 years of experience.

Previously, Mathias served as Partner and Managing Director at Axeleo Capital, where he spearheaded the development of a leading Proptech fund in Europe.

Leading a team of three, he  evaluated over 4000 PropTech startups across Europe within three years, eventually backing 15 companies.

Prior to this, Mathias spent eight years at XAnge-Siparex, where he played a key role in launching an impact investment strategy.

He began his career at BPI France in 2010 after earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of St Etienne and a Master's in International Finance from Rennes Business School.

Outside of work, Mathias enjoys practicing French Boxing, a passion he's pursued for six years.

Overseeing the company’s real estate investments activities across Europe, Thibault is a proficient real estate investor with 12 years of experience.

Multi-cultural and international profile having lived in Europe, the USA and Africa,

Thibault previously worked for Realty Corporation in the UK where he was responsible for growing real estate and PropTech investments.

He worked for developer and real estate owner Tishman Speyer in France and the USA, where he held various roles in acquisitions, development management, asset management, portfolio management, investor relations and innovation.

Thibault worked for 14Trees based in Kenya, a housing start-up accelerating the use of construction innovations in developing economies.

He is the Chair of ULI Europe Young Leaders and a Member of the RICS.

He holds a Master of Science in Management Degree from ESSEC Business School in Paris, France. He specialized in finance and also graduated from ESSEC’s Real Estate Chair.

Thibault is a native French and English speaker and has conversational knowledge of German and Spanish.

Thibault has played Rugby for more than 20 years.
